DIMOR Group comprises our suite of Companies headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan. WACO Aircraft is the world's only manufacturer of 1930's era biplanes. Our planes are carefully and skillfully built by hand. Centennial Aircraft Service is a Part 145 Repair Station and does everything from restoring vintage aircraft to providing new avionics and engines to current aircraft. Junkers Aircraft is our newest company that encompasses our lightest and sleekest model LSA airplane made from corrugated aluminum, known as the A50, complete with a ballistic parachute.
What you will do:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to contribute to the financial health of a unique manufacturing environment and grow with a dynamic company. Responsibilities will vary from day to day and will report directly to the Director of Finance. Onsite position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, and vendor payments
Process internal parts sales between related companies
Prepare bank and general ledger reconciliations
Assist with review of expense reports
Assist with sales and use tax returns
Assist with monthend and yearend close processes, including preparing journal entries and accruals
Assist with accurate inventory records and assist with inventory valuation and reconciliation
Maintain various accounting spreadsheets and reporting documents
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies
Support external audits by preparing requested documentation and answering inquiries
Assist with adhoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient processes
All other duties as assigned
What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) or equivalent experience in accounting or business administration, or related field preferred
QuickBooks or similar experience strongly preferred
3+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience; willing to train a candidate possessing a familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
Excellent communication skills
Selfmotivated with an ability to independently problem solve
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent time management skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to industry specific software
Ability to process information from multiple related companies
Excited about aviation
