WHAT DOES A STAFF ACCOUNTANT DO?
As a Staff Accountant at VillageCare, you will play a vital role in the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions for assigned business units, adhering to generally accepted accounting principles. Your responsibilities will include preparing monthly financial statements for programs, analyzing variances to budget, and communicating these insights effectively during monthly meetings with department managers and administrators. You will ensure all account analyses are completed on a predetermined schedule and manage critical financial activities, including banking transactions, daily cash summaries, payroll, and month-end reconciliations. Additionally, you will prepare annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating closely with department leaders to evaluate revenue, personnel, and expenses. You will also handle grant renewals, modifications, and periodic reimbursement reports, providing essential ad hoc financial analyses as required.
