Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will focus primarily on accounts payable and reconciliation activities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and aligned with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
· Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
· Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to ensure accuracy
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
· Prepare and file annual 1099 forms in compliance with IRS regulations
Reconciliations & Reporting:
· Reconcile American Express transactions with correct account, department, and class coding
· Reconcile daily cash receipts and prepare bank reconciliations
· Assist with month-end close processes
· General ledger reconciliations
· Create and post journal entries
· Complete ad hoc reconciliations and financial analyses as needed
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
· Proficient in QuickBooks; experience with Bill.com is a plus
· Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
· Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication and organizational abilities
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
