As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable:
• Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform 2-way and 3-way matching, batching, and coding.
• Prepare and execute check runs, process deposits, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain regular communication with vendors via email and phone.
• Accounts Receivable:
• Generate and process invoices, ranging from small to high-value amounts.
• Manage the collection and reconciliation of cash, checks, and ACH payments.
• Review and follow up on aging reports and conduct collection calls as necessary.
• General Accounting:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Additional Duties:
• Assist with payroll processing and related tasks as needed.
• Support the finance team with various accounting projects and initiatives.
• Participate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
• Previous experience in agriculture or manufacture industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
