Description
SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will primarily focus on Accounts Receivable tasks such as processing payments along with entry into the company’s general ledger. The Staff Accountant will create billing for International Sales. They will also be responsible for any reporting these processes require along with assisting with resolving issues as they arise. The Staff Accountant will work closely with all revenue departments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Prepare invoices-Create customer invoices based on accounting procedures, and check for errors before sending them out.
• Record payments-Track and record payments received from customers, and ensure they are applied correctly.
• Reconcile accounts- Account for unpaid debts, bad debts, and early payment customers, and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for.
• Resolve discrepancies-Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and verify invoices for appropriate documentation before payment.
• Respond to inquiries- Handle customer inquiries regarding billing issues and provide customer service.
• Generate receivables reports and submit to management on accounts receivable operations as needed.
• Initiate collection actions
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations and analyze the general ledger for various departments.
• Communicates and interacts regularly with operating management and personnel; handles questions, as well as research and performs additional analysis as needed to support business needs.
• Enhances financial reporting and streamlines, refines, and improves the consolidation process to assist management and improve departmental workflow.
• Assists with special projects.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• B.A. or B.S. in Accounting preferred.
• Strong Excel experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Other Requirements
• Previous Entertainment and/or Accounts Receivable experience a plus.
• Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously Ability to develop ongoing partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Works with integrity and ethics; upholds organizational values; accepts responsibility for own actions.
• Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit.

The salary range for this job is between $55,300- $73,700. Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
