Where we are going: We are in a state-of-the-art facility located in Carver, Minnesota and with capital investments, we experienced our largest growth year ever in 2021. We are looking to continue that momentum in 2026 by focusing on three key areas: Customer Experience, Conscious Culture & Profitable Growth.
How you can help: We are looking for a Staff Accountant to perform general accounting and related duties for the organization. This includes preparing monthly financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, coding invoices, setting up new accounts, and managing the accounts payable process. The role requires strong analytical skills to understand and analyze cost drivers and provide regular reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
This might be a good fit if you can:
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation.
• Participate in the month, quarter, and year-end close process activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items for inventory and intercompany accounts.
• Prepare and distribute weekly reporting and scorecards with proper analysis.
• Manages accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, verifying financial data, and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Provide monthly budget to actuals to department owners with analysis.
• Work with the controller to ensure accurate and timely preparation of all reporting (internal reporting, external reporting, external audits, etc.), including appropriate narratives.
• Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance, operations, and sales teams.
• Work on assigned sections in the annual budgeting process.
• Identify process and/or system improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and assist with implementation.
• Ensure processes and procedures follow company policies, making recommendations for improvement based on observation or analysis.
• Understand the Quote to Cash process and how all facets affect the financial statements.
• Understand drivers of each line of financial statements.
• Support the training and development of other staff as needed.
• Partner with other departments to complete projects or other initiatives.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 1-2 years of AP/AR experience in ERP system, or equivalent experience required.
• Excellent Excel skills with the ability to summarize large amounts of data into explainable formats for all levels of the organization.
• Strong accounting, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Open to change and continuous improvement processes.
• Strong diligence.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
