Robert Half has partnered with an international SaaS company in search of a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will manage all aspects of accounting, collaborate with various departments to support financial planning and analysis, and liaise with international partners to ensure alignment on financial practices and reporting. This role also includes participation in special projects and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Liaise with the parent company overseas to ensure alignment on financial practices and reporting.
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Participate in and lead special projects as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing requirements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Knowledge of General Ledger operations is mandatory.
• The ability to manage Journal Entries is necessary.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must.
• The candidate must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is necessary.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ethical standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary.
