A renowned and leading luxury goods and fine jewelry brand is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their tight-knit team based in West LA.
This is a very special opportunity to join a small and family like team with a great culture. The ideal candidate should hold a minimum of 2+ years experience working in a full-cycle accounting role plus heavy accounts receivable and payable experience. It is a huge plus if the candidate has worked in the luxury retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing industry but it is not required. Responsibilities:
• Heavy accounts receivable and accounts payable including invoices customers, entering invoices from the 3PL system into accounting software
• Stocking and inventory management; moving inventory around via online and stores
• Support the completion of financial statement audits and assist with tax preparation
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Complete credit card reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2-3+ years of accounting and accounts payable/receivable experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Experience in QuickBooks is required
• Background in retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing is strongly preferred, not required
• Excellent organizational, time management skills, and the ability to handle complex work efficiently and effectively
• Ability to work onsite 5x a week in West Los Angeles
