Description
We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our growing team located in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks such as handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Handle payroll functions ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Prepare and post journal entries ensuring all business transactions are recorded.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and statements.
- Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Acumatica software for various accounting tasks.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Requirements - Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industries
- Demonstrable proficiency in the use of financial software, specifically QuickBooks and Acumatica
- Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Expertise in bank reconciliations, general ledger operations, and journal entries
- Ability to effectively manage and perform month-end close procedures
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
