Job Purpose: Performs a range of general clerical, accounting and bookkeeping support functions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Receivable (AR):
• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate with customers to collect any past due balances.
• Three-way match invoice to sales order to customer PO.
• Accounts Payable (AP):
• Review, verify, and process invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of vendors, purchase orders, and payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Three-way match vendor invoice to packing list to internal PO.
• General Accounting:
• Perform general bookkeeping duties, including maintaining ledgers and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Additional Duties:
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in accounting or related field preferred.
• 3-year proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, GAAP, and bookkeeping required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experienced with ERP system in accounting software (e.g., Manex is preferred) and MS Office Suite (Strong Excel, Word, Outlook required).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
