We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cost Accountant to join our accounting team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles (GAAP), proven experience with general ledger accounting, and a track record of supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. This position plays a key role in preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in month-end close processes to support sound business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post accurate journal entries in compliance with GAAP
Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Maintain and support general ledger activity, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Collaborate with internal accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and internal management reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
Hands-on experience working with Syteline ERP (required).
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Solid understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and MS Excel
