Job Title: Temporary Staff Accountant
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Position Type: Temporary (2-3 months)
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Dress Code: Business Casual
Pay: $27-33 per hour (Based on Experience)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant for a short-term assignment located in Newport Beach, California. Our client, a respected financial institution, is in need of an experienced Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities:
• Month-End Close: Participate in month-end closing procedures to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
• Expense Reconciliation: Reconcile expenses, verifying documentation and adherence to company policies.
• General Ledger Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Bank Account Reconciliation
• Bank Reporting: Prepare and review bank reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Analytical Skills: Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends and variances.
• Handle deposits and loan product and their results to the general ledger
• Interest calculation
Experience Qualifications:
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on banking and credit union accounting preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Knowledge of banking and financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.
