THE OPPORTUNITY
We are searching for a Staff Accountant to join our growing operations at our Reserve, LA location.
The person in this role is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements for Louisiana Cat.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with monthly and quarterly sales tax filings
• Analyze and record depreciable assets
• Assist with sales tax and financial audits
• Maintain vendor population in multiple systems
• Assist with month end closing duties
• Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred but not required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organization and attention to detail is a priority in this role
• Strong sales tax knowledge
JOB FACTS
• Schedule: 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday in Reserve, LA
• Will require physical movement as typical in an office environment
