Our client, a growing nonprofit organization, is looking to expand their Finance team and hire a full-time Staff Accountant. This position will report to the Director of Finance and plays an integral role within the team, supporting all aspects of the organization’s work and operations. We seek a reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who works well independently and in a fast-paced, team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will complete essential financial responsibilities such as:
• Preparing and entering billings and ensuring data accuracy.
• Generating reports on outstanding receivables.
• Managing accounts payable and processing vendor payments.
• Performing monthly reconciliations.
• Processing payroll and related journal entries.
• Preparing and entering journal entries.
• Assisting in monthly closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Supporting annual audits, budget planning, and other finance-related projects.
• Evaluating and improving financial systems.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
• Education in accounting or business administration with relevant experience.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professionalism and excellent people skills; customer service-focused.
• Skill in handling financial information and maintaining confidential records.
• Highly proactive and action-oriented.
