Arrow Construction Holdings, LLC is looking for a Staff Accountant to start immediately to work in conjunction with the accounting team managing day-to-day accounting activities using generally accepted accounting principles and improving the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Record all financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Ensure proper coding and classification of transactions for accurate financial reporting.
• Fuel tax tracking and reporting.
• Assist in contract cost accounting and report.
• Assist in credit and collection efforts.
• Ability to prepare and process payroll, ensuring accurate wage calculation, deductions, and taxes.
• Knowledge of Prevailing Wage, Intents, Affidavits, and Certified Payroll
• Follow best practices on filing and documentation.
• Coordinate and provide support during internal/external audits.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
• AA/BA in Accounting, finance, or related field. Equivalent Work experience.
• Proven work experience as a bookkeeper or similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting software.
• Prevailing Wage experience is a must!
• Quickbooks experience is a must
• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Knowledge of the Construction Industry is a plus!
