This Position
We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant position will work closely with our other accountants and operations personnel and handle day-to-day bookkeeping.
Responsibilities
Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
· Supporting the monthly close process with journal entry preparation
· Preparing monthly account reconciliations
· Assisting with tax filings, specifically VAT returns.
· Analyzing financial data to ensure proper accounting related to banks, prepaids and accruals.
· Adhering to all the accounting rules and regulations.
· Performing other duties as required.
· Process improvements.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor's degree in commerce required
· 2+ years accounting experience
· Expertise with tally and near sheets
· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
· Working knowledge on VAT, GST and TDS Filings
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills
· Flexible to work for all branches of the organization
· Ability to meet deadlines.
· A close observation of accuracy.
· Ability to handle confidential information.
· Outstanding ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
· Proficient in Word and Excel
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong organizational and analytical skills
· Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
· Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
· Sage Knowledge is a plus.
