Responsibilities
Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, also provide assistance in advanced and specialized accounting assignments, which usually involves complex and confidential data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Balance accounts by performing reconciliations, identifying and investigating discrepancies, and posting proper journal entries with supporting documents
Post bank related transactions, perform account reconciliations, keep records, and communicate with each bank’s account managers
Maintain fixed asset register, and prepare fixed asset related documentation to internal departments, external auditors, and tax preparing firms as requested
Prepare and file tax and US & Japanese government regulatory reportings as requested (monthly, quarterly, annually)
Participate in cross-training, provide guidance and support for daily operation to team members (AR, AP, and Payroll)
Backing up of other team members (AR, AP, and Payroll) as necessary
Perform monthly and year-end inventory reconciliations including reconciliations for third party warehouse and consignment inventories
Participate in year-end financial audit by distributing the tasks among team members, preparing for reports, providing requested documents, and answering questions from external auditors
Assist Senior Accountant and Controller in certain special projects/research as assigned
Assist in ensuring reporting compliance with J- by working closely with the parent company’s accounting & finance department
Comply with internal controls and actively update and test J-SOX procedures
Continuously work to improve and refine current processes to enhance efficiency
Update job knowledge and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities
Various other duties as assigned

A Japanese based manufacturer is seeking for candidates for Staff Accountant.
Hybrid: After training, 2-day/week remote and 3-day/week in person.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, also provide assistance in advanced and specialized accounting assignments, which usually involves complex and confidential data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
2. Balance accounts by performing reconciliations, identifying and investigating discrepancies, and posting proper journal entries with supporting documents.
3. Post bank related transactions, perform account reconciliations, keep records, and communicate with each bank’s account managers.
