The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Health is seeking a Staff Specialist - Rehabilitation.
Provide services in Rehabilitation Medicine including diagnosis, treatment, and care for patients, both inpatient and outpatient, at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), Repatriation Centre, and other health services in Tasmania.
Assist with the management of RHH patients in consultation with other clinical services.
Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs.
Undertake research in Rehabilitation Medicine.
Contribute to hospital committees and administrative matters as required.
Actively participate in quality improvement activities and organisation's safety processes.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will be involved in all aspects of medical care for rehabilitation patients/clients across various settings, including acute inpatient, in-reach, ambulatory, and community rehabilitation services.
Requirements
Holds specialist registration or is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway or has a recognised overseas specialist qualification.
Has sufficient experience in the speciality and meets the minimum requirements outlined in the selection criteria.
