Operates and maintains medical equipment (such as Vacuum Pumps and Medical Air Compressors), HVAC systems and other auxiliary equipment necessary to support operations of the hospital with uninterrupted services

Operate equipment, such as steam fed heat exchangers, generators, motors, pumps, and steam boilers. Operates and maintains medical equipment (such as Vacuum Pumps and Medical Air Compressors), HVAC systems and other auxiliary equipment necessary to support operations of the hospital with uninterrupted services.

Required qualifications:
• Associate's Degree - Any mechanical field such as HVAC, Welding, Plumbing, Biomechanical, Mechatronics, etc. combined with 3 years Stationary Engineer experience working in a power plant or central utility plant. Or 5 years of Power Plant or Central Utility Plant experience; Hospital experience is a PLUS
• Upon hire: Current City of Los Angeles Steam Engineer – Unlimited HP License. Or, Los Angeles Steam Engineer – 500 HP License upon hire.
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving upon hire.

• 5 years Power Plant or Central Utility Plant experience; Hospital experience is a PLUS.
Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Biomechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Mechanical related degree, combined with 3 years Stationary Engineer experience working in a power plant or central utility plant. Or 5 years of Power Plant or Central Utility Plant experience; Hospital experience is a PLUS.
