THE OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking a talented and experienced Wok Fry Chef to join our growing kitchen team. This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to showcase your wok skills, work with fresh ingredients, and be part of a supportive team that values craftsmanship and dedication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute high-volume wok frying with precision and consistency
Prepare stir-fry dishes to order during busy service periods
Master heat control and timing for perfect wok hei (breath of wok)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of wok station
Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Assist with basic prep work and mise en place
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
✓ Proven wok frying experience – you must be competent and confident working with a wok ✓ Strong stir-frying techniques and understanding of high-heat cooking ✓ Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times ✓ Excellent time management and multitasking abilities ✓ Physical stamina to work long shifts in a hot kitchen environment ✓ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality ✓ Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)
Experience with Thai cuisine or Asian cooking styles
Knowledge of Thai ingredients, flavors, and cooking methods
Experience working in high-volume restaurants
Note: We welcome chefs from diverse culinary backgrounds. If you have strong wok skills, we'll teach you our Thai recipes and techniques.
