Location: Health 2000 Northlands Mall
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, Immediate start available, or prior the 22nd July.
Reports To: Director
Role Overview:
The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Health 2000 retail store located in a busy shopping mall. This role requires someone who can work autonomously, manage stock and staff, drive sales, and provide excellent customer service. The manager is expected to maintain a high standard of store presentation, ensure procedures are followed, and meet sales targets.
This position includes responsibility for all store functions, including opening and closing the store, daily cash-ups, banking, managing POS transactions, handling customer queries, and resolving issues as they arise. The manager will also be responsible for preparing staff rosters, maintaining inventory levels, and reporting sales and store performance to the director, the Health 2000 HQ and Northland Mall management.
The manager will recruit, train, and oversee any additional staff required for weekend shifts and holiday cover, ensuring team members are well-informed and delivering consistent service. A strong interest in natural health products and supplements is essential to build rapport with customers and provide informed advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
Deliver high-quality customer service and develop loyal client relationships
Drive sales and promote store growth through upselling and product knowledge
Manage stock levels, merchandising, and inventory systems
Operate POS systems and handle cash accurately
Recruit, train, and manage additional staff for weekends and busy periods
Report to the director with regular store updates and operational insights
Maintain store cleanliness and presentation to brand standards
Stay informed on health products and supplements (training provided)
Key Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ retail experience (health or pharmacy retail an advantage)
Strong interest in health, wellness, and supplements
Confident in sales and customer engagement
Ability to work independently and manage others
Experience with cash handling and POS systems
Reliable, organised, and flexible with weekend availability
Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
