Coordinate and attend student recruitment and information events such as Careers Fairs, school presentations, AFTRS Open Day, and other experiential events.
Work closely with the First Nations & Outreach team to ensure culturally safe admissions processes are being followed throughout the admission period.
Work with departments across the school including Student Centre, Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Short Courses staff to provide effective, useful and friendly customer service for prospective students.
Ensure relevant prospective student information is captured in the school’s CRM. Work with the Head of Student Recruitment & Admissions to review data.
Conduct desktop market and competitor research.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Student Centre, Program Convenors or Discipline Leads, particularly in relation to their engagement with prospective students and applicants.
Support the Head of Student Recruitment & Admissions in delivering Admissions Committee Papers by required deadlines.
Exercise relationship management and conflict resolution capabilities to ensure productive working relationships across the School.
There may be a requirement to undertake tasks outside the scope of the responsibilities listed to support the organisation. AFTRS will engage in a conversation should these tasks arise.
About you – You Have:
Experience in administration, student admissions or student recruitment roles within education and training, screen, audio or arts environments.
Track record in delivering outstanding customer service, including the ability to effectively represent AFTRS on the phone, via email and in person.
Experience working with CRM systems – updating records, creating, and analysing reports.
An eye for detail and well-developed administrative and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to large audiences.
Proven ability to work cooperatively in a small, committed team to achieve agreed outcomes.
