Job Title: Subject Teacher (Legal Studies and Political Science)

Department: Secondary Grade 8-10
Subject: Legal Studies and Political Science
Location: Electronic City Bangalore
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of a subject teacher is to provide instruction guidance and support to students in specific subject areas. Subject teachers are responsible for designing and delivering lessons assessing student progress providing feedback and facilitating a learning experience that helps students develop knowledge skills and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lesson Delivery:
• Ensure lesson plans are followed along with mentioned resources and activities.
• Maintain a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
• Utilize effective pedagogical styles to cater to different aptitudes learning styles and interests of the students.
• Student Administration:
• Enforce discipline in accordance with school rules and disciplinary systems.
• Promote maximum student participation and assist students in improving study habits.
• Monitor basic hygiene and health matters seriously and diligently for each child.
• Classroom Functioning:
• Create an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays bulletin boards and interest centers.
• Establish a positive and professional relationship with parents and provide feedback.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Administration/School Policies:
• Compile maintain and ensure confidentiality of school records.
• Adhere to and implement all policies in force or introduced from time to time.
• Conduct quarterly stock checks of teaching aids with the coordinator.
• Participate in professional development through internal and external courses seminars conferences and events.
• Work Relations:
• Interface with the Principal for academic-related issues.
• Collaborate with Co-teachers and other staff members as required.
• Liaise with Admin Finance HR and Technology for operational issues.
Desired Qualifications:
• Postgraduate Degree: In the subject area with a B.Ed qualification.
• Experience: 1-4 years of relevant experience.
• Expected Competencies:
• Effective communication and a positive approach.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent classroom management.
• Facilitation and engagement skills.
• Assessment and coaching abilities.
• Collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Skills and Knowledge:
• Proficient in working on MS Office.
