Job Description
The Ideal Candidate Will
• Effectively implement the lesson plans that have been left by the teacher
• Integrate the lesson plans into positive learning experiences so as to best use the available time for instruction
• Maintain established standards of classroom management and student behavior needed to achieve a functional, respectful, and productive learning atmosphere
• Maintain professional competence in one's abilities to provide quality instruction
• Perform essential job functions while ensuring the health and safety of others
• Cooperate with other teaching professionals in the classroom and throughout the school building
• Report to the teacher through written communication the activities completed in the classroom during the teacher's absence
• Report to the school office when arriving to substitute
• Complete various duties as assigned by the teacher or building administration
Requirements Include
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute License
• Bachelor's Degree
• Maintains positive attitude, demonstrates flexibility and displays excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Maintains confidentiality and professionalism
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment or materials
