We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students, ensuring a positive learning environment and addressing the individual needs of pupils. The ideal candidate should have experience working with pupils across the age groups KS2, KS3 and KS4 or has a desire to work with children between these age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the class teacher in lesson preparation and delivery.
• Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, particularly those with additional learning needs.
• Help with administrative tasks such as marking and maintaining student records.
• Supervise students during break times, field trips, and other school activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and social interaction among students.
• Provide feedback to the teacher on student progress and any areas of concern.
• Support with the use of educational technology and resources in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:
• A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting across age groups KS2, KS2 and KS4, ideally as a Cover supervisor.
• Understanding of child development and learning processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with students.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum.
• Experience using educational technology or software.
