Mad Science of Houston is currently seeking enthusiastic, high-energy camp instructors who enjoy working with elementary-age kids. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who love working with children, want to earn extra income, have flexible schedules, and enjoy conducting fun science experiments. Prior experience working with children is highly preferred.
To qualify, candidates must have reliable transportation, a clean background check, and be willing to work full-day camp hours (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM), with compensation of $600/week. Half-day camps (usually lasting 3-4 hours) are available at $300/week, with hours varying by location. Bonus pay for certified teachers! Additional pay for before and/or after care and training.
This is a fantastic opportunity for college students to join the Mad Science team and gain valuable experience. As a part of our team, you could be promoted to an After-School Instructor position, earning $35-$45/class (1 hour) during the Fall semester, or you may have the chance to become a Party and Show Performer on weekendswith the potential for even higher pay. Mad Science provides comprehensive training, equipping you with skills you can use to earn additional part-time income, even if you have a full-time job. Working with Mad Science isn’t just about having fun — it's about gaining valuable skills and building a flexible income source that you can return to whenever needed.
