Northern Tool + Equipment, India, located in Hyderabad, is Northern Tools investment that will enable it to expand its internal capabilities in Finance, Merchandising and Pricing, Product Engineering, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Integration, Manufacturing Ops, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Contact Center, and Information Technology. Northern Tool + Equipment, India will provide value and improve efficiencies across the value chain of the business.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Lead, shape and empower the NTE India supply chain team, participate in organizational design, recruiting efforts and manage teams activities in coordination with supply chain leadership.
• Perform operational support with material suppliers, transportation providers, and other partners to facilitate the flow of merchandise across Asia to N. American distribution centers and manufacturing facilities.
• Develop necessary reporting to support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities as it relates to financial, operational performance, and other key business indicators.
• Partner key stakeholder, especially the NTE sourcing team, to drive strategic goals and initiatives.
• Escalate any issues to manager when additional support is needed such as not getting space with carriers; supplier questions that may need decisions from Merchant team etc.
• Manage booking process with suppliers, ensure documentation and other necessary export processes are provided timely, and mitigate issues as they arise.
• Operate in current transportation systems to facilitate the movement of goods. Some examples are load tendering to ocean carriers, drayage carriers and ensure compliance to routing guides.
• Participate in the deployment of NTEs global transportation management system.
• Support and be an active participant in business reviews with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Perform other duties and assignments as requested.

• Exposure to a Transportation Management System (TMS) and Power BI.
• Experience managing a team and working with a global organization and a track record of driving change and results.
• Ability to communicate with various partners in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
• Strong analytical mind set to build and create strategic reporting.
• Must be a proactive team player rather than reactive and passive.
• Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipments 12 Core Competencies.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in international freight forwarding processes
• Specialization/masters degree in Global Supply chain mgt could be of value
