We are looking for Survey & Inspection Workshop Technician to join our Survey & Inspection Team at DOF Australia Pty Ltd on a permanent basis. As a Survey & Inspection Workshop Technician you will be based in our warehouse in Kewdale, and report to the Survey and Inspection Asset Lead. This role is vital to project success by ensuring all survey and inspection equipment is expertly maintained, calibrated, and ready—enabling Project Surveyors and Inspection Engineers to deliver accurate, efficient, and safe results every time. In this role you will be responsible for the following: .

Equipment Management & Maintenance

Implement planned maintenance schedules for equipment.
Perform equipment modifications, repairs, and testing.
Maintain workflow for quarantining equipment from work sites.
Keep the Survey & Inspection areas organized and ready for operational use.
Assist with testing, packing, and manifesting equipment for projects.
Support standardization of survey and inspection equipment packages.
Assist with vessel mobilizations (including occasional site visits).
Create fault reports for company and third-party equipment, and liaise with suppliers/repair services as needed.
Maintain the equipment database and perform status checks at project start and end.
Ensure calibration requirements for company and client equipment are met.
Technical Expertise & Support

Provide technical support to Survey & Inspection staff (onshore and offshore).
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in computers and electronic interfacing.
Apply basic fault-finding and repair skills to IT systems.

Requirements

Education (Preferred but not mandatory):

Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Hydrographic Survey, Geomatics, or similar field. and / or demonstrated relevant experience.
Experience / Knowledge (Preferred but not mandatory):

At least 12 months of experience, including 80 operational days offshore as a Surveyor Grade 2, with satisfactory completion of competence criteria for Survey Engineer Grade 2.
OR:
Relevant industrial, or military experience.
