Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to join our team in the food industry. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department and kitchen operations, ensuring that food safety and preparation standards are met. The ideal candidate will assist in various culinary tasks, contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation and cooking tasks.
Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food handling and preparation.
Support the catering team in setting up and serving food for events.
Participate in inventory management by helping to stock supplies and ingredients.
Assist with dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen equipment as needed.
Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors to ensure quality service.
Requirements
Previous experience in the food industry or dietary department is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with team members.
Basic culinary skills or a passion for cooking is a plus.
Must be able to follow directions accurately and work efficiently under supervision.
