We are seeking a proactive Sustainability Coordinator to help manage our growing portfolio of green initiatives.
The Role
As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will be instrumental in the implementation and monitoring of environmental programs for our diverse clientele. Based in our Melbourne office, you will work closely with consultants and stakeholders to ensure that sustainability targets are not only met but exceeded. This role is perfect for a professional who is passionate about climate action and possesses strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination: Assist in the delivery of sustainability projects, including energy audits, waste reduction programs, and supply chain assessments.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze environmental performance data (e.g., carbon emissions, water usage) and utilize advanced Excel functions to generate high-quality reports.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on Australian environmental legislation and ensure all client projects align with national and Victorian sustainability standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a point of contact for clients, vendors, and community partners to facilitate the adoption of sustainable practices.
Content Creation: Assist in drafting sustainability reports, environmental policies, and internal newsletters to promote "green" culture within client organizations.
Audit Support: Support the team during on-site environmental assessments and ISO 14001 certification processes.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in environmental science, sustainability coordination, or a related corporate social responsibility (CSR) role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: * High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, data visualization) for environmental modeling.
Familiarity with carbon accounting tools or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) software is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong organizational abilities, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine commitment to environmental stewardship.
