Job Overview
5+ years of experience as a Sybase Administrator
– Strong knowledge of Sybase database administrationand management
– Should have expertise to tune SQL Queries and / orSybase DB Parameters related to memory/ processes / files to ensure minimalresource consumption, optimal data access, and response times.
– Experienced in Designing , installing, configuring,and maintaining Sybase databases
– Experienced in Monitoring Sybase DatabasePerformance and provide tuning recommendations
– Experienced in Implementing and maintaining databasesecurity
– Experienced in Managing database backup and recoveryprocedures
– Experienced in Providing technical support forSybase database-related issues
– Should be able to Collaborate with developers andother IT team members to design and implement database solutions
– Should have Knowledge of Sybase Database Security,backup and recovery procedures, and should be expert in performance tuning
– Should have Knowledge of High Availability (HA) andDisaster Recovery (DR) options
– Should Possess Excellent problem-solving /troubleshooting skills and Strong written / verbal communication skills
