Job Title:
Database & Systems Administrator (SQL Server & Hadoop)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Database & Systems Administrator with 3–5 years of experience to manage and optimize our on-premises data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server DBA skills along with hands-on experience in Hadoop cluster management. Familiarity with Windows Administration is essential, and exposure to Kubernetes and Airflow will be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
SQL Server:
Perform routine maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization of SQL Server databases
Handle backup, recovery, and capacity planning
Develop and maintain SQL-based reports and monitor database health
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place
Hadoop Administration:
Set up and configure Hadoop clusters
Monitor, scale, and troubleshoot Hadoop ecosystem services (YARN, HDFS, etc.)
Manage HDFS storage and perform regular audits and health checks
Implement security, resource management, and system updates
Windows Administration:
Manage Active Directory, group policies, and user access controls
Conduct patch management and maintain system security and integrity
Provide support for Windows-based systems and applications
Additional Skills:
Basic SQL querying and scripting knowledge
Good to have experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
Good to have familiarity with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
