Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Master Tailor specializing in women's clothing, who is proficient in cutting and stitching for various garments such as salwar suits, lehengas, blouses, gowns, and more. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience and a strong passion for teaching and mentoring students. This is a dual role involving both tailoring work and instructional responsibilities for training new learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Cut and stitch a wide range of women's garments including:
Salwar suits
Lehengas
Blouses (all styles)
Gowns
Skirts, kurtis, and other ethnic & western outfits
Ensure high-quality tailoring work with attention to detail, finishing, and fitting.
Teach and mentor students in cutting and stitching techniques as per the training curriculum.
Conduct practical classes and guide students during hands-on sessions.
Help in developing training materials and stitching samples for demonstration.
Supervise and support learners during their practice, addressing doubts and ensuring skill development.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the tailoring space.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience (2+ years) as a women’s wear tailor with expertise in both cutting and stitching.
Ability to work with various fabrics and garment styles.
Prior experience in teaching or training is highly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and willingness to share knowledge with learners.
Ability to manage both production and training duties efficiently.
Preferred Qualities:
Passion for fashion and tailoring education.
Friendly and supportive teaching attitude.
Ability to keep up with current fashion trends and incorporate them into training.
