Position: Cook (Takeaway Kitchen)
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $26 - $30 per hour
About Us:
At Carlisle Takeaway and Convenience Store, we’re committed to serving tasty, fresh food
fast with opening hours Monday to Sunday between +am-8pm! We’re currently looking to expand our food options and looking for a dependable and
efficient cook to run our one-person kitchen. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident handling all aspects of a busy takeaway kitchen—from prep to packing—on their own.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and package all takeaway menu items.
Manage the kitchen independently, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment.
Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies when necessary.
Ensure all food safety and health regulations are followed.
Occasionally interact with customers or delivery drivers when required.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a takeaway or fast-paced kitchen of at least one year.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills and time management.
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen equipment.
Self-motivated, reliable, and efficient.
Able to work flexible hours including weekends and late nights.
A full drivers license would of an advantage.
