We are searching for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our growing Executive & Medical Staff Talent Acquisition team.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Advisor will provide expert guidance and develop recruitment strategies to support Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) Medical Staff, including Nurse Practitioners, Midwives, Physicians, Dentists, and Associate Physicians, this role focuses on identifying, sourcing, screening and qualifying candidates to fill vacancies in a competitive job market.

The Talent Acquisition Advisor builds strong internal and external relationships to drive recruitment success. They assess staffing needs, research and advise on emerging trends, implement best practices, and lead recruitment initiatives to meet critical hiring demands. The Advisor facilitates the end-to-end recruitment process by leveraging innovative and strategic recruitment methods, coordinating and developing customized advertising material, and developing proposals for new and creative avenues for advertising.


As a strong team communicator and relationship builder, the Advisor ensures alignment and transparency among hiring leaders, candidates and team members throughout the recruitment process. They foster effective partnerships with academic institutions, professional associations, and other organizations while maintaining an up-to-date directory of eligible candidates.



The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare setting and have a proven track record in medical staff recruitment, successfully sourcing, engaging, and placing medical staff across variety of practice settings.



This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in person 1-2 days per week.

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor (Medical Staff Portfolio) with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:
Provide expert advice and develop strategies and services to support Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) Medical Staff portfolio.
Lead the full-cycle recruitment process by proactively sourcing, screening, and identifying qualified Nurse Practitioners, Midwives, Physicians, Dentists, and Associate Physicians in a competitive job market.
Identify recruitment needs, research and advise on emerging trends, best practices.
Plan and carry out recruitment initiatives to meet critical staffing needs.
Facilitate the end-to-end recruitment process by utilizing innovative, creative and professional recruiting methods, coordinate and develop advertising material, and develop proposals for new and creative avenues for promoting medical staff opportunities.
Maintain strong internal and external working relationships across the organization to foster continuous performance excellence.
Foster effective working relationships with representatives from academic institutions, professional associations, recruitment agencies, and other organizations, and maintain an up-to-date pipeline of eligible candidates.
All other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Commerce (with a concentration in Human Resources) plus three (3) to five (5) years’ recruiting experience in a dynamic and diverse organization or an equivalent, combination of education, experience and training.
Experience working with modern integrated cloud-based human capital management system such as Workday is preferred.

Knowledge & Abilities:

Extensive experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, recruitment search methods, and social media.
Proven time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrates excellent communication (both written and verbal), facilitation and influencing skills.
Advanced skill in current computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database).
Promotes VCH brand by providing effective and professional recruitment services to external candidates and external organizations.
Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
