Viva Naturals is searching for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who will play a key role in our talent acquisition strategy. Our ideal candidate has a passion for health and wellness, a keen eye for detail and is ready to be the biggest brand ambassador for the Viva Naturals brand.


This role will begin as a 1-year contract with the potential for permanent.

The Role:


Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will work to source, attract and acquire the best of the best in talent in support of our high growth strategy. In addition to providing support in people related projects.


What you will do in more detail:


Continuously provide recruitment support for roles as determined by the Head of People & Culture and Leadership Team
Write job ads and post roles on appropriate job boards (Indeed, Monster, LinkedIn etc.) through BambooHR
Proactively search for talent by researching and developing strategies
Screen resumes through Bamboo HR and respond to every candidate who applies to ensure excellence in candidate care
Conduct telephone screening interviews with shortlisted candidates
Conduct in person interviews with shortlisted candidates
Recommend candidates to be brought forward to meet with hiring managers
Establish a Campus Recruiting Program to support departmental requirements
Understand our talent needs at the internship/co-op level.
Research and develop relationships with post-secondary institutions based on the roles that we are looking to fill.
Work closely with the Head of People & Culture and marketing team to support our employer brand pages
Provide Support to the Head of People & Culture through, on-boarding, employee file creation, JHSC, benefits administration, other people related functions as required.
Assist with special projects, initiatives, reporting and documentation, as required

What you have done to get here:


5+ years of technical and non-technical recruitment experience in a fast-paced, high growth environment, preferably in the CPG industry including recruitment for roles managed remotely and overseas
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of sourcing and talent attraction methods - familiar with techniques to win passive candidates and closing strategies
Must have strong interviewing skills including experience in developing behavioural based, competency related interview questions
Strong background in human resources, benefits, wage and salary, attraction and retention strategies, and policies
Technically savvy (able to quickly learn a number of internal messaging and project management systems) and proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
Experience working various HRIS and web-based applicant tracking systems is an asset
Operate with a sense of urgency and going the extra mile to exceed expectations is part of your DNA
High level verbal and written communications skills
High level of discretion and confidentiality
Diploma or degree
Certificates/Licenses – CHRL designation is preferred
