Job description, work day and responsibilities
• Curriculum & Instruction: Design and implement lesson plans that adhere to the CBSE framework, using a variety of teaching methods to engage diverse learners.
• Language & Culture: Foster a love for the Tamil language, literature, and culture through innovative approaches like storytelling, debates, and multimedia.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress through regular tests, assignments, and feedback, providing guidance for improvement.
• Classroom Management: Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active student participation and a love for learning.
• Collaboration: Work with fellow teachers on cross-curricular activities and participate in school-wide cultural initiatives and competitions.
• Parent Communication: Engage with parents to discuss student progress and collaborate to support their learning journey.
• Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest educational trends, participate in workshops, and continuously improve teaching strategies.
Key Qualifications & Skills
• Educational Background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tamil Literature or a related field, preferably with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum and assessment methods.
• Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching Tamil at the school level.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Technology Skills: Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools to enhance teaching.
• Personal Attributes: A passion for teaching, commitment to student growth, and the ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
