Key Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, high net worth individuals, trusts, and tax-exempt entities
Developing business and personal tax planning strategies
Preparing financial statements, compilations, reviews, and audits
Handling payroll tax preparation and review
Reconciling clients' books and records with supporting documents
Responding to federal, state, and local tax notices and assisting with audits and examinations
Conducting research on federal, state, and international tax issues
Providing expert tax advice to clients
Identifying opportunities to offer additional services to clients
Offering technical GAAP guidance and financial support to staff accountants
Mentoring junior team members to help them grow in their roles
Requirements
3+ years of experience in accounting and tax preparation with at least 1+ years in public accounting
Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of federal and state tax returns
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office. Competency in CCH Axcess tax software is a plus
Deadline oriented with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently and in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Regular and consistent attendance, overtime may be required during peak periods
