Role Purpose: As our next Tax Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance across the Group and reviewing and implementing tax processes and controls over a wide range of taxes in both the UK and overseas. The Group has expanded rapidly in recent years and has a footprint mainly in the UK but also has significant presence in many overseas territories; the role is critical in ensuring financial obligations are met and for the continued success of our ambitious and fast-growing business.

You’ll report to our Chief Financial Officer and be based in our impressive central Manchester offices with hybrid working. To excel in this role, you'll need to be a meticulous person with an excellent eye for detail. This role requires an individual who can meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure. For this role, we're keen to bring in someone who champions fresh ideas. This role would really suit somebody who is agile in their approach.

The role is suitable for someone wishing to undertake part time work of three to four working days per week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Tasks

Undertake tax planning to ensure tax assets are optimised.
Tax reporting and accounting for the individual subsidiaries
Preparation of UK strategy
Preparation of UK corporate tax returns and management of submission of overseas tax returns.
Tax reporting and accounting for the UK Group, undertaking annual review of deferred tax assets.
Implementation of transfer pricing strategy in conjunction with Group’s tax advisors.
Preparing Group for implications of upcoming Pillar 2 compliance

Performance Expectations or KPIs

Improve processes to improve efficiency of corporate tax compliance.
Implementation of new processes to cover new obligations that arise as the Group expands.
Implementation of Corporate Criminal Offences (CCO) and Senior Accounting Officer (SAO)
