About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join a well-established CPA firm based in Century City, Los Angeles. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review a wide range of complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns.
Engage with clients directly to gather necessary documentation, clarify information, and provide timely, professional communication throughout the engagement.
Conduct in-depth tax research and draft technical memoranda on federal and state issues, including planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
Assist with tax projections and scenario modeling to support strategic planning efforts.
Prepare tax accounting entries and adjustments for various business entities as part of compliance and financial reporting requirements.
Mentor junior staff members, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback to support their professional development.
Stay current with evolving tax legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and firm policies.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
A Master's in Accounting or Taxation is highly preferred.
Licensing
Active CPA, EA, or JD license strongly preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3 5 years of experience in tax preparation within a public accounting firm.
At least 2 years of experience working with complex, multi-state tax filings and high-net-worth individual returns.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Lacerte tax software and Tax Tools.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Soft Skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary range: $120,000 $140,000, based on experience.
