Job Description
A great UHY client is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Accounting experience with a financial accounting system (i.e. SAP, SAI, Oracle, Hyperion) and 2-3 years of Corporate income tax compliance preparation, tax provision, and support experience.
The Tax Analyst role is a hybrid/remote position. This is a client direct hire position.
Tax Analyst Responsibilities:
• Prepare tax provision calculations including working with OneSource Tax Provision software for all US calculations, on a monthly, quarterly and bi-annually.
• Assist with international tax provision calculations, including working with OneSource Tax Provision.
• Assist with various international compliance matters as needed, including transfer pricing data gathering
• Gather and prepare information to CSC to file all state annual reports and DBAs for internal companies.
• Assist with co-sourced corporate income tax return compliance including gathering and preparing federal and state work papers and gathering any necessary additional information for compliance purposes
• Prepare personal property tax returns as assigned
• Address and maintain all tax-related notices log, including developing responses to tax agency notices
• Maintain and update physical locations of US entities
• Prepare memoranda to document or communicate tax research, issues, or positions.
• Assist with various income tax audits as requested.
• Assist with and prepare the resolution of tax notices from various jurisdictions.
• Assist with other compliance matters including BEA, FinCEN,etc.
• Liaise with financial, treasury, legal, operational personnel, and external advisors to develop tax strategies and resolutions
• Assist on special projects and support the business operations for tax-related issue
• Ad-hoc compliance-related projects such as assistance with accounting method changes, law changes, E&P calculations, etc.
Tax Analyst Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or related field from a four-year college or university, focus on taxation preferred
• Accounting experience with a financial accounting system (i.e. SAP, SAI, Oracle, Hyperion)
• 2-3 years of Corporate income tax compliance preparation, tax provision, and support experience
