The Firm
This vibrant young Chartered Accountants firm, Wheeler Grenfell, requires a taxation accountant to prepare income tax returns, business activity statements, management and financial accounts. We are located in North Sydney, close to the train station. This position would suit an enthusiastic, goal-orientated person with good communication skills, who is happy to work as part of a team.
The Role
The successful candidate will receive training and gain experience in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for medium and small entities including trusts, companies, partnerships and superannuation funds. Our clients work across a range of industries and therefore the position will allow exposure to a range of different businesses.
Your role will include:
Preparation of Australian Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements
Assistance with Business Advisory and Tax Planning
Assistance with Tax Research
General Accounting and Bookkeeping using MYOB & Xero
Dealing with the Australian Taxation Office and Revenue NSW
The Candidate
The candidate should be a university graduate with an accounting major or an equivalent degree. The candidate should also either have or be interested in pursuing their CPA or CA qualifications as they will be supported and encouraged to advance with their career.
The candidate must have at least 2 years of Australian taxation experience, preferably working with a Registered Tax Agent. Exposure to Xero, BGL Simple Fund 360, MYOB and AE Tax would be an advantage.
