We are currently seeking a team member to join us as a Coding & Robotics Educator/ Instructor. In this dynamic and creative role, you will collaborate with other educators to develop and implement a cutting-edge curriculum that incorporates coding, robotics, engineering, and more into the daily lives of students. At Curiosity Gym, our teachers are an integral part of our operations, and we value their input and ideas.This role will involve teaching students about coding, robotics and technology, as well as core elements of engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and robotics, a passion for STEAM education, and experience working in a student-centered and collaborative educational environment.
Responsibilities
• Teach computer science, coding, electronics, and robotics to K12 and college students.
• Collaborate creatively with colleagues to develop engaging instructional activities on a variety of coding languages & technologies.
• Strategize and create Innovation & Design Thinking pedagogy to enhance student learning.
• Create interesting course content that will help make learning more engaging and fun for children and adults.
• Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
• Support student showcases on Annual school STEM/Science days.
• Support student entries in local/international competitions.
• Create a safe and supportive classroom culture that prioritizes relationships with and among students.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain effective supervision and discipline in the classroom.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in teaching and/or education
• Be passionate about educating students
• Have an outgoing, friendly, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
• Possess excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and precise style.
• Have an outstanding creative mind, with a sense for what will engage students
• Documentation Skills
• Programming Languages: Python, Pygame, Blockly, Scratch, Javascript, C, C++, d
• Web App Development: HTML, JavaScript, PHP
• Mobile App Development: MIT App Inventor, Kodular, Thunkable
• Familiarity with 3d Design and CAD, on Software packages (any one) Onshape,Fusion360,TinkerCad used for 3d Printing.
• Knowledge in programming of Arduino based Embedded Systems
• Hands on knowledge and experience in IoT, using common embedded electronics boards, and cloud services, to build real world applications as case studies, e.g. around the UN SDG goals.
• Additional Skills : Team handling skills, training delivery
