Role: Primary and Secondary Teachers (SEMH)
Salary: £38,000 - £58,000
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner
MLK Search is supporting a unique, high-achieving, 'Outstanding' group of Independent therapeutic Schools to recruit positive, committed, and confident teachers for their team in south east London.
With 3 exceptional settings in Lambeth, each school caters for children and young people with SEMH challenges due to Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma so will require someone who is confident to teach in this environment.
There are currently opportunities for Primary specialists as well as Science, Maths, Humanities, Art, DT and PE practitioners as they continue to grow in line with ongoing intake throughout the year. Ideally you'll have experience of teaching in a specialist setting with children and young people with SEMH needs.
Teachers are at the core of leading the schools’ child-centered ethos and reflect their values and expectations. You will therefore be responsible for the highest standards of quality of education and behaviour management for children who have significant SEMH as well as other associated needs.
Essential and Desirable Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
Successful experience in delivering the National Curriculum; preferably within a similar setting
Further training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN would be highly desirable
Passion and enthusiasm for supporting students with barriers to learning
