Salary:
Competitive wage commensurate with experience.
Hours of Work:
Mornings Monday-Friday from 8:45-11:45am Approximately 27 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators, in good standing.
First Aid & CPR Certification (as per CCEYA standards).
Proven experience in a Program Supervisor role preferably in a not-for-profit co-operative nursery school environment.
Approval from the Ministry of Education – Early Learning Years Program Advisor.
An approved Police Record Check for service with the Vulnerable Sector.
Documented immunizations.
5 years experience working directly with 2 and 3 year old children and with special needs children.
Thorough knowledge of all Ministry licensing requirements and the CCEYA .
Familiarity and/or experience working with Government Funding programs.
Organization and effective time management skills.
Provide leadership and motivation to teaching staff and parents.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Duties:
Program planning and teaching in a classroom.
Working with teaching and office staff.
Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate nursery school program on a daily basis, with collaboration from other teaching staff.
Provide a positive and nurturing environment in the classroom.
Ensure positive communication with parents, children and staff.
Lead monthly staff meetings.
Attend monthly Executive meetings (in the evening - 1/month - usually virtually.)
