Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for young children. This role is vital in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for students across various early childhood settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development and experience working with children, including those with special needs or disabilities. Prior preschool or daycare experience is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of classroom management and behavior guidance techniques. Responsibilities
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive caregiving and interaction
Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment adhering to health and safety regulations
Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing tailored assistance and encouragement
Assist with classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement
Implement basic first aid when necessary and follow health protocols to ensure student safety
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress and needs
Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, behavior management, and caregiving techniques
Skills
Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education best practices
Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and promote positive interactions among students
Childcare skills including infant care, toddler care, and preschool supervision
Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities or behavioral challenges
First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers
Patience, compassion, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children's growth and learning
