Job Description
Salary: $78,564 - $111,3+1 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).
Time Fraction: Part Time, 0.2 EFT (Fridays).
Location: Glen Waverley Campus.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Contract of employment to 04/07/2026.
Holmesglen is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher - Floristry to deliver high-quality education. You will develop engaging delivery and assessment tools to equip students with the skills needed for success in the floristry industry.
In this role, you will assist students in developing the skills to begin or advance their careers in the retail or creative floristry industries. From course enquiry to assessment, you will support students throughout their learning journey, using diverse teaching strategies to meet individual needs. With a strong design focus, our floristry programs cover techniques, customer relations, drawing, visual display, and event design.

ABOUT YOU
Current floristry industry experience, knowledge of modern techniques, trends, and technology, with relevant industry memberships preferred.
Strong understanding of VET policies, training packages, national frameworks, and effective training and assessment strategies in education.
Skilled in applying contemporary teaching methods, adapting to diverse learners, and promoting student autonomy and independent learning.
Proficient in using technology, online resources, and developing engaging, flexible teaching materials tailored to student needs.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills to effectively coordinate tasks and support positive student learning outcomes.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122 or equivalent) and a floristry qualification at the required level.
