Role Overview:
This position supports the Early Care and Education Program Master Teachers in setting up and implementing a safe and developmentally appropriate early care and education program. The Teacher provides assistance in all activities.
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure children's safety and supervision at all times while supporting their play and learning.
Develop, implement, monitor, and assess a developmentally appropriate and inclusive curriculum and weekly lesson plan that aligns with the California Preschool Learning Foundations and the Desired Results System.
Maintain necessary notes, evidence, and portfolios for each child to support the Desired Results Assessment Tool. Adjust the curriculum and environment based on collected evidence to ensure individual child success in academic, social, emotional, and motor areas.
Ensure proper maintenance of required classroom records, meeting deadlines, including attendance, meal counts, assessments, and Desired Results Summary of Findings.
Maintain a high level of classroom cleanliness, including disinfecting and emptying garbage.
Foster a positive, non-punitive learning environment by treating each child with dignity and respect.
Participate in ongoing professional development, staff meetings, and trainings to stay current on trends and research related to early childhood education and apply this knowledge in planning and implementing the early care and education program.
Achieve 105 hours of professional growth experience within five years to meet the credentialing requirement.
Establish effective partnerships with parents/caregivers by supporting their role as their child's
