About the Role:
As a Teacher of Art, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and engaging lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Your role will be to inspire creativity, develop students' artistic skills, and foster a love for the arts. Key responsibilities include:
• Teaching art and design, ensuring that lessons are creative, memorable, and inclusive.
• Developing the curriculum in Art, contributing to resources and the wider enrichment program.
• Delivering personalised learning experiences to support students of all abilities.
• Promoting a stimulating and tidy learning environment, ensuring high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Contributing to extra-curricular activities in the Visual and Media Arts, including exhibitions, school journeys, and enrichment activities.
What We Are Looking For:
• A qualified Teacher of Art with QTS and relevant experience.
• A strong understanding of best practices in teaching the visual arts.
• Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit students of all abilities, ensuring progress and attainment.
• A passion for creativity and fostering independent thought in young learners.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to developing the Tallis Habits of Mind in students: inquisitive, collaborative, persistent, disciplined, and imaginative.
