Job Title: Design Technology Teacher (MYP Section)
Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Design Technology Teacher for the MYP section of our reputed IB school. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Design Technology to students in the age range of 11-16 years. The Design Technology curriculum in our school focuses on developing skills and knowledge related to problem-solving, creativity, and innovation through the use of design and technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons to students in the MYP section.
Develop and implement appropriate assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
Incorporate the use of technology and design tools in teaching and learning.
Encourage students to think creatively and critically, and to develop problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects.
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Foster the development of skills related to collaboration, communication, and reflection in students.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design Technology, or a related field.
Experience teaching Design Technology in the MYP section of an IB school.
Experience in curriculum planning and assessment.
Knowledge of current educational technologies and their integration into the classroom.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with the IB philosophy and programme is preferred.
